Simple Cheesesteak Sandwich

Best thing about cooking at home is being able to use your creativity and adapt the recipes to your taste. This sandwich is great as it is but remember you can add as many veggies as you want and, of course, as many cheese as you wish.

Ingredients:

  • 500g of ribeye steaks, chopped
  • 1/2 green bellpepper, sliced
  • 1/2 red bellpepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 tbsp of cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tsp of worchestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Favorite bread

Instructions:

  1. Over medium heat, place a large skillet and add 1 tbsp of butter.
  2. When the butter melts, add the two kind of bellpepper, previously sliced, and the chopped onions. Cook for about 4 minutes until brown ish. Stir every now and then with a wooden spoon to achive an even roast. When ready, set aside.
  3. Using the same skillet, start to cook the chopped ribeye steaks. I recommend to slice it into medium size strips but feel free to chop it as you like. Season it with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. After 5 minutes on the heat, add the worchestershire sauce to enhace the flavor and give it a better color.
  5. Make sure the meat is cooked as you like and incorporate the veggies to combine them well. Give it a good stir.
  6. Add in the cream cheese and combine until it melts.
  7. Toast the bread of your choice. I recommend using a soft bread with some seeds.
  8. Prepare the sandwich and serve hot!
  9. This doesn’t need any other sauce or condiment but feel free to add a bit of hot sauce if you want to spice things up!
