Gluten Free Pizza Crust

This gluten free pizza crust is as good as any other pizza crust recipe so you don’t have to be in that specific diet to enjoy it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of gluten free all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of blanched almond flour
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 7 gr of yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp of butter, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm water with the yeast and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes until you start to see a foamy mixture. It is important to use warm water not hot. If the water is too hot the yeast won’t react.
  2. In a larger bowl, add in the egg, room temperature butter and yeast mixture. Using an electric mixer, whisk on low speed until completely combined. You can also do this by hand.
  3. Sift in the two kind of flour, sugar and salt. If you just have/like one, feel free to use all the proportion with just one kind but using both give it a better texture.
  4. Start to stir the dough with a wooden spoon to combine the dry and wet ingredients.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  6. In a flat surface, sprinkle some extra flour and knead the dough a bit to make sure all the ingredients are well combined.
  7. Extend the dough into a baking sheet, previously lined or greased, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. After that time, take the pizza crust out of the oven and start to assemble it with your favorite sauce and toppings.
  9. Bake the pizza again for 10 minutes or until you get a golden crust.
