Pear and Pomegranate Bowl

This is an easy to make, delicious, and healthy dessert for the New Years for your family and friends.

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 Pears peeled, cored, and cut into wedges
  • 1 Pomegranate skinned and light-colored membrane removed
  • 1 Tbs Lemon juice
  • ½ Tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 2 TBS Light brown sugar
  • 2 TBS Finely chopped almonds
  • 4 Sprigs of Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Directions:

  • In a bowl, place pear wedges and pomegranate seeds.
  • Pour lemon juice over pear and pomegranate and toss to coat.
  • In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar mixture into the fruits.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to blend the flavors.
  • After 1 hour divided into 4 serving bowls.
  • Garnish each bowl with a sprinkle of chopped almonds and a sprig of mint.
