How to Throw a Valentine’s Day Cocktail Party

Nothing quite spices up Valentine’s Day like a party. Whether you are single or not, it pays to celebrate and share the love with your friends and loved ones. Here’s how you do that:

Do Some Painting: You might want to switch up the venue of the party with some unexpected colours like black, green, or blue to update the regular red/pink combination. It will modernize the look.

Flowers: What if you used something different from the regular red roses. Say a floral backdrop that features different flowers and different colours.

Lots to Eat: What’s Valentine’s Day party without good food and snacks like chocolates. Whether you have “heavier meals” or not, make sure you set up a dessert bar or station for your guests.

A ton of drinks: Let there be tons of drink, especially cocktails. Ladies love them. You might even set out some rock candy swizzle sticks in your party’s colour scheme for guests to stir into their flutes or coupes.

Create a Festive Wall Hanging: Pique your guests’ interests with a festive wall hanging. Try hanging the glittery tassels in a creative and exciting heart shape. Hang above a buffet or dessert table or place on your front door for effect.

Use some fancy cubes: Some of your guests if not all will need some ice. Try making some ornamental ice cubes. Simply pluck the petals from two or three roses. Add them to a basic tray which you fill halfway with distilled water before loading into the freezer. After a while, fill the rest of the tray with more water, then freeze again.

Get a DIY photo booth: Make the most of that spare wall by setting up an Insta backdrop for your people to take pics. You might want to cover the wall with a glitter-foil backdrop, some on-brand props, and balloons.

Finally, what’s a party without some great music? Make sure you have some good music playing in the background. Get a music system with the right effects.
