Easy Strawberry Spinach Salad

This tempting delish strawberry spinach salad is very easy to make, healthy, and a great way to get kids to eat spinach.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:

  • 1-quart strawberries, cleaned, hulled, and sliced
  • 10 ounces fresh spinach, rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces
  • ¼ cup almonds, blanched and slivered
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup distilled white vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Directions:

  • Whisk together olive oil, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, minced onion, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds in a medium bowl until sugar is dissolved.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Combine strawberries, spinach, and almonds in a large bowl and pour dressing over it, toss well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
