Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole

This cheeseburger macaroni casserole is going to upgrade the cooking for a crowd game! The recipe is not only incredible delicious, it is also really easy to make for a large group of people so perfect to use when needing to cook for your family or friends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of macaroni pasta
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tomatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, cubed
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 3 tbsp of mustard
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta as normal, drain when ready and set aside to use later.
  2. In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the 2 tbsp of olive oil, minced garlic and both the tomato cubes and onion cubes. Make sure the pieces are small because it not only looks better but also helps the flavor to spread all over the meat.
  3. Cook the veggies for 2 minutes and then, incorporate the ground beef. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Season the meat with the sugar, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir really well and cook for about 15 minutes. In this step you can also add other ingredients like hot sauce or even a bit of bbq sauce if you want to experiment a bit.
  5. When ready, mix into the skillet your already cooked macaroni pasta and cover the pasta with the meat. Combine really well.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  7. Transfer the macaroni into a previously greased pan and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top. I like mozzarella but cheddar works fantastic too.
  8. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.

Serve and enjoy!
