This buttery melt-in-your-mouth homemade cornbread will definitely get rave reviews during the holidays.

Ingredients:
- Cornmeal 1 cup
- All-purpose flour 2-1/3 cups
- Sugar 1 cup
- Eggs 3 large, at room temperature
- 2% milk 1-2/3 cups
- Butter 2/3 cup
- Baking powder 4 ½ teaspoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Grease a 13 by 9 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine eggs and milk, set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Alternately add flour mixture and egg mixture to creamed mixture.
- Pour into prepared baking pan and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cut into squares and serve warm.
