Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Rice (boiled) 1 lb
  • Chicken 1 lb
  • Onion (chopped) 1 cup
  • Garlic ginger paste 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato (chopped) 1 cup
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder    ¼ teaspoon
  • Coriander powder ½ teaspoon
  • Garam masala (south Asian spice) ½ teaspoon
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Lemon juice 3-4 tablespoon
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Food color (orange) 3- 4 drops
  • Water 1 cup

Method:

  1. Take a pan and add oil, chicken, onion, garlic ginger paste, tomato, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, yogurt, lemon juice and water. Cook it for 15 min. when gravy thickens then remove it from flame
  2. Grease another pan and add half rice in it and layer it in pan then add cooked chicken and layer it on rice the add other half portion of rice on it and make proper layer then add food color in it
  3. Steam it for 10- 12 min. mix it properly

  1. 65 pounds of rice?!? 10 pounds of Chicken???
    That can’t be right to only 1 cup of tomato and 1 tsp of spice??
