Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients:

  • 1 Chicken Breast cut in to thin strips
  • 1 cup plain Tomato Ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Corn Flour (dissolved in one cup of water)
  • 1 Capsicum in dice cut
  • 1 Onion dice cut
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Chinese Salt
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 cup chicken broth (stock)

Method:

  1. In a bowl Mix black pepper powder, soy sauce and salt with chicken together so that chicken is salted well.
  2. Add corn flour and egg to chicken and mix well (make sure chicken is coated well with corn flour).
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry all chicken pieces separately.Once chicken pieces become golden brown, remove from pan and keep aside.
  4. Mix red pepper and vinegar and make a paste and keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in wok and fry ginger to golden . Then add ketchup, vinegar & pepper paste and mix well.
  6. Add sugar and salt and mix well.Instantly add broth (stock) and mix.
  7. Once it starts boiling, add fried chicken and mix well.
  8. After cooking for 3 minutes, add capsicum and onions and cook at fast flame for one minute.
  9. Do not cook too much otherwise onions will become extra-soft.
  10. serve in a dish with Chinese rice or Egg fried rice.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
