Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour 1 ½ cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Baking powder ½ teaspoon
- Brown sugar 1 ½ cups packed
- Eggs 2 large, lightly beaten, at room temperature
- Butter ½ cup, melted
- Alcohol-free vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup (6 ounces)
Directions:
- Combine brown sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract in a large bowl just until blended.
- In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder and mix well.
- Add flour mixture to egg mixture along with the chocolate chips and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture into a 13 by 9-inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack and cut into bars.
