French Toast

This is a delightful and tasty option for a quick breakfast. Drizzle it over with maple syrup before you dig in. You can also top this delectable meal with any piece of fruit you desire.

Ingredients

1 large egg (beaten)
¾ cup milk
1 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. vanilla extract
¼ tsp. black pepper
A pinch of salt
4 slices of bread

Method:

  1. In a medium bowl, add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, black pepper, sugar and salt. Mix until the sugar and salt have dissolved.
  2. Heat the frying pan on medium high. Use butter or oil to grease the pan.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture; ensure both sides are coated.
  4. Place the soaked bread into the frying pan. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown. Serve hot.
