Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 lbs of ground beef, lean
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp of mustard
  • 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, add the ground beef, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well so the meat can absorb the flavor.
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce, mustard and barbecue sauce. Again, mix to combine. It is really important that all the meat is well seasoned or the patties won’t taste all the same after cooked.
  3. Incorporate the eggs, chopped onions and breadcrumbs. Feel free to use red, purple or white onions and any other veggie that you would like. Using your clean hands knead the meat until firm enough to hold the shape of the patties.
  4. Make the patties as thick as you prefer and place them in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to set. This will also help to enhance the flavor
  5. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the 2 tbsp of oil and when hot start to cook the meat patties. Cook well for both sides.
  6. Continue until all the patties are ready.
