Homemade Fried Chicken Wings

With this recipe you’ll be able to cook juicy and crispy fried chicken wings at home! Forget about going out to find the perfect wings, invite your friends home and enjoy as many as you want.

Ingredients:

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tbsp of white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • A large pinch of salt
  • Oil to fry

Instructions:

  1. First of all you need to prepare the milk. This option is great if you don’t have or can’t find buttermilk. In a container, combine the milk, white vinegar and baking soda. Stir and set aside for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, add the eggs, milk mixture, black pepper and paprika. If you want to add some spiciness, add 4-5 drops of hot sauce too.
  3. Dip the chicken wings into the egg mixture and let them there for at least 20 minutes before continuing.
  4. Place the all purpose flour in a plate to coat the chicken.
  5. Next step is a little bit messy but will make a big difference in the end result. Take each wet chicken wing and cover them in flour.
  6. When totally covered in flour, dip them again in the egg mixture and finally again in flour. This double coating will make a better fried chicken crust.
  7. In a deep pan, over medium heat, add the oil and wait until hot enough to start friying. Don’t try to fry them all at the same time. Do it in batches of 4.
  8. When golden place over an absorbent paper to eliminate the oil excess.
  9. Serve with bbq sauce while still hot!
