Homemade Ice Cream without Ice Cream Machine

This is one of those treats that we don’t think to make at home because it sounds impossible, right? Here I will show you how to make a smooth ice cream with just a few ingredients. The best part is that is easy to personalize so you can have as many flavors as you want.

Ingredients:

For the Kinder Bueno Ice Cream

  • 2 cups of heavy cream, cold
  • 2 cups of sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 Kinder Bueno chocolates, chopped
  • ½ cup of hazelnut spread

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, add in the heavy cream and whisk until if forms peaks. You can do this by hand but it will be a much longer process than doing it using an electric mixer. Either way it will work, the time is the only thing that changes. And hey, if you decide to do it by hand, it counts as an exercise; arm day and ice cream day at the same time!
  2. In another bowl, pour the sweetened condensed milk and chopped chocolates. For this recipe we are doing to use Kinder Bueno chocolate, but feel free to use any kind of chocolate that you want. Another options that I really enjoy are: Reeses cups, Snickers, Toblerone and Crunch.
  3. Make sure the chocolate is really chopped before adding it into the condensed milk but leave some bigger chunks to get some texture.
  4. Combine the condensed milk mixture into the whipped heavy cream and carefully fold it into the cream. Try not to deflate much the heavy cream.
  5. In a large container, add half of the mixture, drizzle some hazelnut spread on, add the second half and more hazelnut spread.
  6. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until you are able to scoop the ice cream.
