This king size croissant is one of the best options for any brunch reunion with friends or family! Keep reading the recipe to learn how to make a delicious homemade honey mustard and also how to get the perfect runny yolk egg!
Ingredients:
- 4 king size croissant
- 16 ham slices
- 8 oz of cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of mayo
- 4 tbsp of yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp of honey
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the mayo, yellow mustard, honey and pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside to use later.
- Take a non-stick skillet and place it over medium heat. If you want to cook your eggs without oil or butter it is important to use a non-stick skillet. If you don’t have any at home, add some butter or oil into the skillet before cooking the egg.
- Break one egg at a time and cover the skillet with the top to let the egg cook with the help of the steam. This will help you to cook the egg well but getting a runny yolk. If you prefer your yolk hard, carefully flip the egg after about 5 minutes to make sure the yolk is well cooked too.
- Take your favorite cheese and melt it in a skillet over low heat. I recommend to melt it before assembling the croissant to make sure it is completely melted!
- Using a serrated knife, open the croissants to assemble them.
- Spread some of your homemade honey mustard.
- Add 4 slices of ham on each croissant. If you want to add more, add as many as you want.
- Cover the ham with melted cheese.
- Add the egg in the center and carefully close the croissant!
