Shakshuka

Ingredients:

  • 2 finely chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 3 chopped green chillies 
  • 4 eggs 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp of Lemon juice

Garnishing :

  • A few Fresh coriander leaves as per taste
  • Black cumin seeds as per taste
  • Oregano leaves as per taste
  • Crushed black pepper as per taste

Directions:

  1. Take 2 tbs of olive oil in a pan and fry the onion until they get a lil golden brown
  2. Add tomatoes , green chillies , salt, chilli flakes, vinegar and turmeric powder.
  3. Mix and cook them for about 6-7 minutes until the tomatoes fragrant.
  4. Now add eggs one by one by making spaces between the tomatoes, and cover them and let them cook on a low flame until the eggs are done, add a dash of black pepper.
  5. Garnish it with garnishing items as mentioned above and drizzle some lemon juice forĀ  flavour too.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
